During the tour, we gain insight into the world of Badacsony's two iconic painters: the art of József Egry and Erzsébet Udvardi captures the lights, colors, and unique atmosphere of Lake Balaton. The artistic experience is completed by a pleasant guided walk and a three-wine tasting from Badacsony. Guided tour at the József Egry Memorial Museum: József Egry was one of the outstanding personalities of 20th-century Hungarian painting, who captured the world of Lake Balaton in a uniquely radiant way in his masterpieces. Through his paintings, the prophetic power of art still affects us today: since he painted it, we see Badacsony's crescent-shaped bay, the double peak of Fonyód, and the opalescent colors of the lake differently. Viewed through Egry's eyes, the landscape gains new light and depth. Walk along Római Street to the Udvardi Gallery: From the József Egry Memorial Museum, a pleasant walk of about 1500 meters leads along Római Street to the Udvardi Gallery. Along the way, the tour guide tells stories about the history, values, and special atmosphere of Badacsony and the wine region. Guided tour at the Udvardi Gallery: Erzsébet Udvardi was another passionate painter of Lake Balaton. Her oils and pastels reveal a distinctive style and technique unique to her: her decorations created with gold leaf and silver paper on landscapes and religious-themed paintings evoke a special play of colors. The tour's uniqueness is that the Udvardi Gallery opens its doors exclusively for this occasion. The guided tour is held by Anna Udvardi, the painter's niece, providing a personal insight into Erzsébet Udvardi's art and legacy. Three-wine tasting at Fata Cellar: The program concludes with a wine tasting in the chimney sweep master's cellar. István Fata, a chimney sweep master, arrived in Badacsony in 1927. Besides chimney sweeping, he was engaged in viticulture and winemaking, much to the delight of his family, friends, and local hikers. Later, this tradition was continued by his grandson István Nagy and his family, who now manage 9.5 hectares of vineyards. During the tasting, we present the characters and styles of the region through 3 wines. As an introduction, a light, easy, true summer wine is poured, while the next item represents the traditional barrel-aged character. Finally, guests can taste a real specialty, as the program ends with the famous Badacsonyi Ürmösbor. Ticket purchase: The participation fee for the tour is 10,900 HUF per person, which includes the guide fee, entrance tickets to the József Egry Memorial Museum and the Udvardi Gallery, as well as the three-wine tasting fee at Fata Cellar.
