The Színház a kertemben series continues on the first weekend of September, this time with two performances on Saturday and Sunday. 🎭Saturday performance: Dörgicse, Fő utca 18. September 5, Saturday 17:00 "Three Rooms" Three one-act plays by the winning authors of the Young Playwrights' House drama competition: The three plays were originally created independently of each other, but over time the authors noticed that their texts seem to respond to each other. The creators ultimately drew inspiration from the structure of the cult film Four Rooms (directed by Allison Anders, Alexandre Rockwell, Robert Rodriguez, and Quentin Tarantino) and built a single theatrical evening from three independent stories. The three rooms are not connected by a common frame story, but by recurring motifs, situations, moods, and humor. It is as if we see the same people in three different lives. Three rooms, three stories, common questions: What does it mean to connect and stay together in a world that rather distances? What remains of our dreams, plans, and ultimately ourselves? With the support of the Young Playwrights' House 🎭Sunday performance: Dörgicse, Fő utca 31. September 6, Sunday 17:00 "Borbála – a life, an escape, a homecoming on stage" 60-minute, two-actor theatrical performance The story was adapted for the stage by Mária Hedry based on the original work, directed by Attila Petneházy. The production is a special enterprise: both a historical portrait and a personal confession, recalling the dramatic fate of Hungary in the second half of the 20th century. The life of Countess Borbála Nádasdy written for the stage. The theatrical performance is recommended for young adults to older audiences, but also suitable from the 7th grade of elementary school, as it connects well with historical studies. The Petőfi Cultural Program is realized with the support of the Hungarian Government and coordinated by the National Institute of Culture.
