Festetics Vágta - National Gallop Qualifier

In 2026, Gyenesdiás will host the Festetics Vágta, the regional qualifier of the National Gallop, for the 17th time! On August 23, 2026, the Festetics Vágta will be held as one of the qualifiers of the National Gallop, organized by the Municipality of Gyenesdiás Nagyközség. The program starts at 11:00 with the ceremonial opening of the Gallop, followed by preparations at 11:30 with the Radetczky Hussar Association leading. The Festetics Vágta qualifiers (planned 3-4 races) begin at 12:00, followed by the junior hussar races at 12:30. During the lunch break, visitors can enjoy the Magic Sounds playhouse, a craft fair, and the “Street of Flavors.” At 13:30, performances by Gyenesdiási Lovas SE and Magyar Imre Lovas SE, at 14:30 a presentation by the National Greyhound Association, at 15:00 a show by the Brázik Tribe of the Kassai Horse Archery School, at 15:30 a demonstration by the Golden Falcon Falconry Association with György Lóki, at 16:00 a flag spectacle by the Salföld Kopjások, at 16:30 the Radetczky Hussar Association, at 17:00 a free training demonstration by Viktória Hamza titled "In the Language of Horses," followed by the Festetics Vágta final at 17:30.
