Ripoff Raskolnikov Band is one of the most outstanding domestic representatives of the americana style, uniquely combining blues, folk, and singer-songwriter genres. Raskolnikov has lived in Hungary for over 40 years and is a recognized songwriter who speaks English at a native level, and his band consists of the finest musicians in the genre. The band regularly releases studio albums that are gaining increasing international attention. Albums such as Small Worlds, Odds and Ends, Twilight Tales, and Budapest Days have received significant acclaim, and Ripoff Raskolnikov Band is today one of the finest productions on the Hungarian music scene. Ripoff Raskolnikov began his musical career at the age of 18, traveling Europe as a street musician. Initially attracted to European folk music, his songwriting style drawing from American folklore became defining, inspiring musicians like Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, and the Rolling Stones. His Hungarian debut took place in November 1987, and since then he has performed countless concerts at home, where he has now found a home.
