Italia Soundwave is a Mediterranean music festival in Balatonboglár featuring Stefano Saletti & Piccola Banda Ikona at Babel Camp. The concert showcases songs sung in the maritime sabir language and Mediterranean musical traditions.
Mediterranean musical journey on the shores of Lake Balaton! Italia Soundwave presents 7 fantastic bands and performances in 6 days at Babel Camp in Balatonboglár during the first week of June this year. 🌊☀️ The invited bands were selected together with Babel community's Italian friends, aiming to showcase the country's musical culture as broadly as possible from south to north: from dance and party concerts through Mediterranean musical traditions and folk concerts to serenades. The audience of Babel Camp can see performers and artists who regularly play in Europe's largest concert halls and festivals but have rarely or never performed in Hungary. Researchers of Mediterranean musical roots who sing in sabir, the former common language of sailors. Southern Italian, Arab, and Sephardic influences intertwine on stage accompanied by oud and bouzouki.
