The 33rd Gizella Days will be held from May 4 to 10, 2026! Veszprém's largest multidisciplinary arts festival once again welcomes visitors with a multitude of free visual arts, music, family, gastronomic, and literary programs. Free concerts will feature performances by Punnany Massif, Anna and the Barbies, and Hősök. Every May, Veszprém commemorates Blessed Gizella, the Bavarian-born wife of King Saint Stephen, around her name day. In recent years, the Gizella Days have expanded to a full week, entertaining audiences with more than 50 free programs at 20 venues. Combining a thousand-year historical tradition with contemporary experience programs, the week-long Gizella Days is a true celebration in the life of Veszprém! The program includes concerts, visual arts exhibitions, family and gastronomic events, as well as literary programs. The event takes place at multiple locations in downtown Veszprém. Highlighting the 2026 program, on Friday, May 8, the Old Town stage will host Csaknekedkislány, Bohemian Betyars, and Mehringer; the Cserhát stage will feature Swing à la Django, Soulwave, and Anna and the Barbies; and the Hangvilla stage will present Hangár All Stars, Áron Bodor's "My Quieter Side" show, and Czaffy. On Saturday, May 9, the Old Town stage will feature Fiúk, Hősök, and Punnany Massif; the Cserhát stage will host Kéknyúl, Lóci játszik, and the ABBA Tribute Show; and the Hangvilla stage will present The Bluesberry Band, the LGT Memorial Band, and Hollywoodoo.
