In Csopak, at the St. Donat winery, an olive oil tasting awaits visitors on November 7, where six types of olive oil can be sampled with sourdough bread. The program includes stories about the olive trees and the uniqueness of Balaton olive oil.
This spring, we planted more than 120 olive trees on the estate, including both young and old trees. We selected varieties that we hope will thrive in the Balaton climate in the long term. We dedicate the afternoon of November 7 to our olive project! From 13:00 onwards, continuous olive tastings will be held featuring relevant olive oils, including the first Balaton olive oil! Those who have never attended an olive tasting can now learn the basics of olive tasting and discover the differences between olive oils. We will share stories about our young and old trees, our plans, and the experiences so far at Balaton. Of course, you can enjoy uninterrupted wine tasting, coffee, and the bar kitchen menu is also available. Olive tasting: Guided tasting with 6 types of olive oil, served with sourdough bread.
